My preschooler came home with a craft project to share with me, according to her teachers: how to make a banana ghost! Of course, it was Halloween week so they took advantage of the season. The ingredients list was thankfully short: peeled banana, mini chocolate chips, regular chocolate chips. If you have a picky eater like mine who doesn’t eat all of her bananas, this might be a fun way to encourage eating, with only a little extra additional sugar. (Note: you can also use other chips of course, like carob, white chocolate, butterscotch)
- Peel and cut bananas in half.
- Take 2 mini chocolate chips for eyes near one end.
- Use a regular chocolate chip for a mouth.
That’s it! Easy as pie! I also video-blogged it for y’all because she looked so cute…and I got her to eat an entire banana in the process. Sneaky, I know.
